Baseball Recap: Challis Vikings vs. North Fremont Huskies
Challis was the 2-0 winner over North Fremont when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Vikings have suffered against the Huskies since April 18, 2023.
Brayden Ollar was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
