Softball Recap: South Umpqua Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

South Umpqua put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They didn't even let the Sutherlin Bulldogs on the board, marking the Lancers' second-straight 15-0 shutout. Considering the Lancers have won ten contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

South Umpqua's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Sutherlin, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

South Umpqua has already played their next game (against Scappoose), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sutherlin, they will square off against Siuslaw at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
