Volleyball Recap: Pickerington Central Takes a Loss

Pickerington Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Reynoldsburg Raiders. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Raiders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The 3-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Pickerington Central lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-22.

Pickerington Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Reynoldsburg, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.

Pickerington Central has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Licking Heights on the 12th. As for Reynoldsburg, they will be playing at home against Big Walnut at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
