Basketball Recap: Sunshine Bible Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Iroquois/Lake Preston

Sunshine Bible Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Iroquois/Lake Preston by a score of 54-51. The Crusaders' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Breanna Thieman, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Thieman a new career-high in points. Ciera Mickelson was another key player, going 8-for-13 to rack up 17 points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Sunshine Bible Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Sunshine Bible Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Iroquois/Lake Preston, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-13.

As for Iroquois/Lake Preston, they will venture away from home to challenge Colman-Egan at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Colman-Egan will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Iroquois/Lake Preston surely won't give up without a fight.
