Friday, 7:00 PM

Sotomayor takes on Torres this Friday at 7:00 PM. Sotomayor is hoping to get its first win of the year.

Sotomayor had a rough outing against Lincoln last week, losing 48 - 0. Things were already looking bleak at the break as Sotomayor was down 42 - 0.

As for Torres, it brought the heat last game after its low-scoring effort (zero points) in the match before. It had all the answers against Marshall last week, winning 40 - 7. No one had a larger role in the success than junior wide receiver T Gilmore, who brought his A game into the contest. He ran for 361 yards and punched in three touchdowns. Gilmore has been a consistent playmaker for Torres as this was the 8th good game in a row from him.

Sotomayor's defeat dropped it to 0-8 while Torres's win brought it to 5-3. We'll find out if Torres can snag another victory or if Sotomayor will turn things around for itself.
