Preview: Columbus Explorers vs. Goleman Gators
The Columbus Explorers will be playing at home against the Goleman Gators at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Columbus is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Goleman in Florida (Columbus is ranked 17th, while Goleman is ranked 249th).
Two weeks ago, Columbus strolled past Goleman with points to spare, taking the game 24-6.
Columbus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Edward Bandy, who rushed for 88 yards, and also caught a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Blackburn, who picked up 48 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Columbus' win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Goleman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Columbus strolled past Goleman in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 24-6. Does Columbus have another victory up their sleeve, or will Goleman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
