Softball Recap: Lanier Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Lanier's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Highlands Owls on Monday. The Voks have struggled against the Owls recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.

Lanier's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Highlands, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Coming up, Lanier will host Jefferson at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Lanier is facing Jefferson at the right time seeing as Jefferson is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Highlands, they will face off against Burbank at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Burbank's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
