Softball Game Preview: Brackenridge Eagles vs. Edison Golden Bears

Brackenridge is 0-10 against Edison since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Brackenridge lost 27-13 to Lutheran on Friday.

Maliyah Gutierrez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with five stolen bases and three runs. That hit marked the first that she has got this season. Another player making a difference was Joselynn Herrera, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edison). They were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over Brackenridge last Friday. The Golden Bears not only won last Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17, 2025 (when they won 15-2).

Edison's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Brackenridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
