Basketball Game Preview: St. Clair County Fighting Saints vs. Lincoln Golden Bears

The St. Clair County Fighting Saints will square off against the Lincoln Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

St. Clair County easily dispatched Ragland on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. St. Clair County fell just short of Springville by a score of 40-38 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Saints in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were dealt an 84-49 defeat at the hands of Sylacauga. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 407th, while the Aggies are ranked 77th).

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for St. Clair County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.
