Baseball Recap: Anderson Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Anderson lost against St. Xavier back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raptors took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bombers.

Tommy Huster made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Nick Rosiello, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Anderson's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-12. As for St. Xavier, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Anderson will host Edgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Raptors surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Xavier, they will head out to take on Milford at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bombers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
