Basketball Recap: Cardinal Mooney Catholic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bishop Foley last Friday, Cardinal Mooney Catholic came back down to earth. The Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals lost to Everest Collegiate at home by a 56-38 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 548th, while Everest Collegiate are ranked 99th).

Cardinal Mooney Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Everest Collegiate, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Cardinal Mooney Catholic has already played their next game, a 67-60 victory against Sacred Heart Academy on the 25th. As for Everest Collegiate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-46 win against University Liggett on the 24th.
