Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Victorious

After losing to Caney Valley the last time they met, Chaparral decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Roadrunners walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bullpups on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Roadrunners.

Chaparral easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14.

Makiya Maka paced Chaparral's offense, picking up 11 kills. Maka got some help from Emily Harding and her 21 assists. Jaylin Easter controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 20-17. As for Caney Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-16 record this season.

Chaparral has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Halstead on the 20th. As for Caney Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Kingman on the 20th.
