Football Recap: Highlands Keeps King's Under Pressure

Highlands lost against King back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Owls fell 14-6 to the Brahmas. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, Highlands' defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Joe Angel Bustamante was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Damarius Montgomery-Buckley had a dynamite game For King., rushing for 199 yards and one TD while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Cason, who rushed for 53 yards and one score on only six carries.

Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for King, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Highlands wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 73-9 defeat against La Vernia on the 12th. As for King, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 58-0 loss against Ray on the 12th.
