Lafayette came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the DuPont Manual Crimsons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Generals have posted since October 11, 2024.

Audrey Gossett paced Lafayette's offense, picking up 16 kills. Gossett got some help from Elise Trimble and her 22 assists. Gossett also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Payton Watts, racking up two apiece.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Lafayette and DuPont Manual will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Generals see the court they'll take on West Jessamine at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for DuPont Manual, their break will end when they face Taylor County at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
