Volleyball Recap: Surry County Takes a Loss

Surry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Surry County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Surry County will square off against rival Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech is set to challenge their familiar foe Windsor at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
