Basketball Recap: Oswego Drops Season-High Score on Fulton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oswego). They came out on top against the Fulton Red Raiders by a score of 89-81 on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bucs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 40th).

Oswego's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cam Adkinson led the charge by going 9-for-14 on his way to 25 points and five boards. What's more, Adkinson also posted a 64% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Noah Bwalya, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds.

Oswego was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Oswego's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Fulton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

When Oswego and Fulton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Oswego will square off against Cato-Meridian and their three-game winning streak at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Fulton will try to stop Lowville's four-game winning streak when the meet at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
