Branford managed to slip by Paxon School For Advanced Studies the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Buccaneers came up short against the Golden Eagles on Friday, falling 11-3. On the bright side, the three- run effort marked the Buccaneers' highest-scoring contest to date.

Branford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keaton Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. E'Nalee Perry also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Branford and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Branford will host Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, they will challenge Old Plank Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Defenders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something the Golden Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
