After losing to Eads the last time they met, Granada decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Granada Bobcats came out on top against the Eads Eagles by a score of 52-44 on Friday. The Bobcats pushed the score to 40-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Granada to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Coleman has scored at least a third of Granada's points. Sebastian Pizarro was another key player, going 5 of 10 to rack up 14 points along with five boards and three steals.

Eads lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Case Nelson, who posted seven points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals. Nelson is becoming a predictor of Eads' success: when he posts at least ten boards the team is 3-1 (and 3-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kadan Dunlap, who put up 13 points.

Granada has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Eads, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granada and Walsh will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Granada is facing Walsh at the right time seeing as Walsh is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Eads, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Prairie at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
