Basketball Recap: Kehillah Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Kehillah entered their tilt with KIPP Esperanza on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the KIPP Esperanza Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 54-38.

Casey Clugage was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 13 points, 16 boards, and ten blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Cohen, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Kehillah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, KIPP Esperanza had strong showings from Eddie Whiteside, who went 8 of 17 en route to 20 points, and Jereny Castro, who posted 13 points. With that strong performance, Whiteside is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game.

Kehillah pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for KIPP Esperanza, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Kehillah has already played their next matchup, a 55-37 victory against Jewish Community on the 27th. As for KIPP Esperanza, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-26 defeat against Pacific Bay Christian on the 28th.
