Baseball Recap: Hopedale Takes a Loss

Hopedale has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.52 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Sunday. They lost 12-2 to the Milford Scarlet Hawks. The Blue Raiders haven't had much luck with the Scarlet Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Hopedale's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Milford, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

Hopedale will venture away from home to take on Uxbridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Milford, they will square off against Ashland at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Clockers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Scarlet Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
