Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln Southwest vs. Lincoln East

An exciting East v. West battle is about to be fought. The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks will welcome the Lincoln East Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Saturday, Lincoln Southwest came up short against Creighton Prep and fell 3-1. The loss put an end to Lincoln Southwest's undefeated start to the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Eli Riese, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Lincoln East was not quite Omaha Westside's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 1-0. Lincoln East haven't had much luck with Omaha Westside recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Lincoln East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lincoln Southwest, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Lincoln Southwest beat Lincoln East 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Lincoln Southwest repeat their success, or does Lincoln East has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
