Baseball Recap: Lancaster Mennonite Comes Up Short

Lancaster Mennonite lost against Columbia back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blazers lost 8-2 to the Crimson Tide. The Blazers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Westin Rhine was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kyler Buckwalter, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Lancaster Mennonite's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Columbia, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lancaster Mennonite is set to square off against their familiar foe Pequea Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Columbia will take on rival Lancaster Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
