Basketball Game Preview: Columbus Sailors vs. New Hampton Chickasaws

Last Saturday, Columbus lost to Waterloo East on the road by a 52-36 margin. The game marked the Sailors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, New Hampton came up short against Waukon on Friday and fell 67-59. The Chickasaws have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for New Hampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Columbus barely slipped by New Hampton when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 43-42. Will Columbus repeat their success, or does New Hampton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
