Baseball Recap: Simla Has No Trouble Against Cripple Creek-Victor

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Simla). They put the hurt on the Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers with a sharp 13-3 win on Wednesday. The Cubs haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Ethan Kissam was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He also brought in three RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tatum Kocerha, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Simla hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cripple Creek-Victor struck out 14 times.

The win got Simla back to even at 2-2.

Simla didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 victory against Cotopaxi on the 8th. As for Cripple Creek-Victor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against Denver Academy on the 7th.
