Basketball Recap: Aquinas Takes a Loss

Aquinas lost against John F. Kennedy Catholic back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Aquinas Knights fell 55-42 to the John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Nick Ryan was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 11 boards for John F. Kennedy Catholic. The contest was Ryan's 33rd in a row with at least 15 points. Henry Phillips was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Aquinas' loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.

Looking ahead, Aquinas is taking a road trip to square off against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harding will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Aquinas surely won't give up without a fight. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, they will take on Boardman at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. John F. Kennedy Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season.
