Basketball Recap: Willsboro Central Comes Up Short

Willsboro Central and Bolton Central squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Willsboro Central had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Bolton Central Eagles and fell 70-27. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 717th, while the Eagles are ranked 218th).

Jadynn Egloff was her usual excellent self, putting up 27 points for Bolton Central. The game was Egloff's 13th in a row with at least 15 points. Ella Hens was another key player, posting 12 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Willsboro Central and nudges their season record down to 1-9. As for Bolton Central, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home.

Willsboro Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Chazy will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Bolton Central surely won't give up without a fight.
