Recap: Muskogee Roughers vs. Will Rogers College Ropers
The Muskogee Roughers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 58-31 loss at the hands of Will Rogers College. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Muskogee has suffered since December 5, 2023.
Muskogee's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Malaysia Burton, who scored 13 points, and Aniyah Thomas who scored nine points along with two steals.
Muskogee bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Will Rogers College, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
Muskogee won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Collinsville on January 20th. As for Will Rogers College, Will Rogers College and Memorial will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Memorial is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.5 points per game.
