Basketball Recap: Fox Tech Comes Up Short

Fox Tech lost against Seguin back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buffaloes might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Matadors an easy 57-36 win. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tavien Miles was the offensive standout of the game as he posted nine points in addition to six assists and three steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jio Parra, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 10 points.

Fox Tech now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Seguin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fox Tech is set to take on their familiar foe Highlands at 9:00 a.m. on the 31st. Meanwhile, Seguin will square off against rival Lanier at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
