Basketball Recap: Jones Takes a Loss

Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Wekiva Mustangs, falling 69-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Fightin' Tigers have suffered against the Mustangs since January 17, 2017.

Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Wekiva, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Jones didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-33 loss against East River on the 27th. As for Wekiva, they will head out to square off against Evans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Evans' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
