Softball Recap: Pleasant Plains Takes a Loss

Pleasant Plains was the 9-8 winner over Pawnee when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pleasant Plains saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney Murphy, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Pleasant Plains' loss dropped their record down to 7-4-1. As for Pawnee, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Plains will challenge Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pawnee, they will take on Staunton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
