Softball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside was the 14-6 winner over Newton Local when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates lost 16-7 to the Indians on Saturday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aubree Huston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Newton Local, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Riverside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-1 loss against Tri-Village on the 12th. As for Newton Local, they have also already played their next game, a 9-2 defeat against Indian Lake on the 12th.
