Basketball Recap: Aledo Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Aledo duked it out with Grace Prep on Tuesday. The Bearcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over the Lions. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bearcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Lions are ranked 221st).

Aledo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Grace Prep, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Aledo won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Palo Duro at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Grace Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Fort Worth Country Day at 11:00 a.m.
