Volleyball Recap: Lansing Lions vs. De Soto Wildcats
There's no place like home for Lansing, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the De Soto Wildcats on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.
Lansing never let De Soto on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 28-26.
Kylie Groves and Ashley Scott certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Groves had ten digs and two aces, while Scott had 12 digs. Scott is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Lansing has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-13 record this season. As for De Soto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-13.
Lansing will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Shawnee Heights at 5:00 p.m. As for De Soto, they will welcome Lawrence Free State at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
