Oak Hill dropped their record down to 4-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 14-2 to the Northwestern Tigers. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Oak Hill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Watts, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Watts' first of the season.

As for Northwestern, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Northwestern's side, the team relied heavily on Hayden Cook, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Landen Begley, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will host Bluffton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northwestern, they will welcome Mississinewa at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
