Baseball Recap: Fair Haven Slaters vs. Randolph Ghosts
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fair Haven had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Randolph Ghosts, sneaking past 5-4.
MASON GUTEL made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Fair Haven's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). GUTEL was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
