Eastview had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Maple Grove Crimson by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Lightning, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Maple Grove moved to 8-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Eastview will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Burnsville at 7:00 p.m. on May 13. As for Maple Grove, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Andover on the 19th.
