Baseball Recap: Ellison Comes Up Short

Ellison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-2 to the Lake Belton Broncos. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Ellison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Rivera, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Ellison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lake Belton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ellison will square off against rival University at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lake Belton is set to face off against their familiar foe Waco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
