Cross Lanes Christian and Elk Valley Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Cross Lanes Christian Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Elk Valley Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Cross Lanes Christian came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point defeat two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Mount Hope Christian Academy by a score of 48-45 on Saturday. Cross Lanes Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Elk Valley Christian got the win against Calvary Baptist Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 64-39. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 25 points or more this season.

Elk Valley Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Cross Lanes Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Cross Lanes Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Elk Valley Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 39-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cross Lanes Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
