Softball Recap: Gwynedd Mercy Academy Victorious

The Gwynedd Mercy Academy Monarchs beat the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls 6-1 on Wednesday.

Mary Werner looked comfortable as she pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Natalie Kelley, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Emma Lomker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Archbishop Ryan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, Gwynedd Mercy Academy will square off against Central Bucks East at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Ryan, they will take on Archbishop Carroll at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
