Basketball Recap: Harvest Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Harvest Prep Academy lost against Imagine Prep Coolidge last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Harvest Prep Academy Eagle fell 51-43 to the Imagine Prep Coolidge Eagles.

Despite the loss, Harvest Prep Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore KJ Legette dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 boards. Legette has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 13 times he's played. Lashawn Barron was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Harvest Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Imagine Prep Coolidge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvest Prep Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Western SciTech at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Imagine Prep Coolidge, they will host Imagine Prep Superstition at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
