Basketball Recap: Dansville's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Dansville won against Addison last Monday with 43 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The Dansville Mustangs came out on top against the Avon Braves by a score of 43-35. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves, too.

Despite the loss, Avon still got an impressive performance from Maria Geary, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. That was a full 54.3% of Avon's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lila Meyer, who put up four points.

Dansville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7. As for Avon, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

When Dansville and Avon next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Dansville will challenge Hornell and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Avon will try to stop Perry's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
