Softball Recap: Leake Central Comes Up Short

Leake Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They lost 19-4 to the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 on Tuesday.

Leake Central saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamiyah Russell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Leake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Northeast Lauderdale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trojans beat Leake Central by a score of 19-4 on Thursday.
