Baseball Recap: St. Edmund Prep Takes a Loss

St. Edmund Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 35-0 to the Archbishop Molloy Stanners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stanners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

St. Edmund Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Archbishop Molloy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Edmund Prep will square off against St. Anthony's at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Friars' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Archbishop Molloy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary's at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Stanners' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while the Gaels have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
