Basketball Recap: Gaston Takes a Loss

Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-36 loss at the hands of the Portland Christian Royals. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Portland Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Gaston will challenge Vernonia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vernonia will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Gaston surely won't give up without a fight. As for Portland Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Faith Bible Christian/Life Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Portland Christian has lost three straight at home , while Faith Bible Christian/Life Christian has lost three on the road.
