Basketball Game Preview: Collinsville Cardinals vs. Claremore Zebras

The Collinsville Cardinals will face off against the Claremore Zebras at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Collinsville has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Claremore will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Friday, 2025 welcomed Collinsville with a 58-32 loss courtesy of Bishop Kelley.

Meanwhile, Claremore was fully in charge back in December of 2024, breezing past Nathan Hale 53-16.

Claremore's win came from a few key players Collinsville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Asia Roper, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Waters, who posted six points in addition to seven assists and seven steals.

Claremore smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Claremore, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.

Everything went Collinsville's way against Claremore in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Collinsville made off with a 62-37 victory. Does Collinsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Claremore turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
