Football Recap: Quartz Hill Takes a Loss

Quartz Hill might've scored the first points on Tuesday, but it was Santa Monica who claimed the real prize. The Royals took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. While the Royals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 7-0 in the first quarter.

Quartz Hill's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Santa Monica, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quartz Hill will venture away from home to challenge Hart at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Monica, they will square off against Redondo Union at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
