Volleyball Recap: Oaks Christian Takes a Loss

Oaks Christian lost against Camarillo back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Oaks Christian Lions fell just short of the Camarillo Scorpions by a score of 3-2. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oaks Christian started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-18, 15-13.

Cameron Judd paced Oaks Christian's offense, picking up 19 kills. Judd got some help from Chase Jenkins and his 25 assists. Miles Lee controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oaks Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Camarillo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oaks Christian will square off against Chaminade at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oaks Christian is facing Chaminade at the right time seeing as Chaminade is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Camarillo, they will take on Calabasas at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
