Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Roosevelt extended their postseason success on Saturday against Servite. They walked away with a 75-65 victory over the Friars. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Servite lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Saiger Smith, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 19 points and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Hugh Hannan, who shot 70% from the field on his way to 15 points.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 18-13. As for Servite, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 19-12.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will challenge Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Servite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
