Basketball Recap: Jayden Ellis Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Taylor County

McIntosh County Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Taylor County Vikings by a score of 48-35 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.

McIntosh County Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Ellis out in front who on his way to 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Craig Battle, who posted 12 points.

McIntosh County Academy's victory bumped their record up to 24-5. As for Taylor County, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-4.

Looking ahead, McIntosh County Academy will host Mitchell County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McIntosh County Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season. Taylor County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
