Basketball Game Preview: Liberty County Bulldogs vs. Aucilla Christian Warriors

The Liberty County Bulldogs will challenge the Aucilla Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Liberty County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

Last Tuesday, Liberty County didn't have too much trouble with Sneads as they won 58-40. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Pirates are ranked 587th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Kashon Chambers, who went 12 of 25 en route to 27 points. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jason Walker, who went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Aucilla Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-44 victory over Cornerstone Academy on Friday.

Liberty County better keep an eye on Ethan Bass. He was instrumental in Aucilla Christian's win, going 8 of 17 on his way to 26 points and six assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which Bass has scored at least a third of Aucilla Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Faglie, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Aucilla Christian pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Liberty County, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.

Everything went Liberty County's way against Aucilla Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Liberty County made off with a 76-53 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
